Caring for & Displaying Wooden Flowers
Wooden flowers are low-maintenance by nature. A few simple habits will keep yours looking beautiful for decades.
Keep them in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. UV exposure will fade the paint over time. Avoid humid rooms like bathrooms. Don't store them in airtight containers since the natural wood needs to breathe. For dusting, a soft brush or gentle puff of air works well. With basic care, your arrangement will look beautiful indefinitely.
They should be kept dry. Sola wood is a natural, porous material and prolonged exposure to moisture or humidity can cause the wood to soften or potentially mold. Keep arrangements away from bathrooms, outdoor areas, and windows where condensation could be an issue.
The paint and dye can gradually fade with prolonged direct sunlight, the same way any painted surface would. Keeping arrangements out of direct sun will preserve color significantly. Indoors in normal lighting, the colors hold very well for years.
Yes. Sola wood absorbs scent beautifully. A few drops of oil-based essential oil applied between the petals or at the base of the flowers will scent the arrangement for several months. Arrangements from Forever Scarlett Rose are unscented by default.
